Sneak Peak Exclusive: Lan Gear Inc Mini-ITX Case

frontlangear

SFFClub.com brings you yet another exclusive; this time showing off the prototype of Lan-Gear's mini-itx case. Coming in around 11 liters and small enough to carry with one hand, this prototype is similar in size to the SilverStone SG05/06 and slightly smaller than the soon to be released SG07. Features include the ability to hold a standard 160mm ATX PSU while still being able to accommodate a large heatsink. Cooling is not a problem with 2x120mm fans on the right side and 2x80mm rear fans. This tiny case is also big enough to fit the 5970* which is currently the longest video card made for a PC. Click the read more link for specs and a few photos.

Discuss this new mini-itx case in our forum and offer up suggestions for improvement prior to final release. A "beta" version of this case will be available as well for those that wish to test the case prior to final production. More details on this to come.  * See note in article under specs

SilverStone 450w ST45SF SFX PSU Shipping

ST45SF1miniJust got the word in from Silverstone that their 450w SFX PSU dubbed ST45SF has left China and is on the way to the US. Look for this in early April in the US and mid-April in Europe (I asked for you Cowcotland fans!). No word on price but it will NOT be available in the SG05 or SG06 unless you are in Japan. The length of the cables are the same as the stock PSU in the SG05 and SG06 but the cables are sleeved (as shown). The PSU is certified 80-Plus Bronze.

DFI P55-T36 with Corsair H50 !!ADVISORY!!

advisory

SFFClub has uncovered a compatibility problem with the Corsair H50 and the DFI P55-T36. The backplate of the H50 interferes with a motherboard component risking damage to the board. This issue is of no fault to DFI or Corsair but should be taken into consideration if using these two parts together.
